Davaotraveler.com: more than just an ordinary blog; it’s a massive collection of Davao-related information you won’t see even from the official websites of Davao City.

Way back in 2005, my friend and former officemate Carlos “Caloy” Velasco told me about the new site he just launched. Aptly named davaotraveler.com, the site was designed to provide tourists a comprehensive online travel guide to Davao City.
Three years later, his blog is still up and running… and thriving! Even then, I’m pretty sure that ever humble Caloy doesn’t care at all that davaotraveler.com is now one of the top blog sites in the city. He’s just probably happy that his “dream project” turned out out just the way he envisioned it.
Anyways, I’d like invite you all to visit davaotraveler.com. Apart from the general listings of hotels and other places in Davao, the site also has some refeshing articles that would be of great use for those planning to stay here. Check out this great article about coffee shops in the city, in particular. I’m a Davao-resident for 25 years, but I must say I got schooled pretty well by such an informative entry. And I’m sure that the Davao Travelers of the future would appreciate all these much as I did. Or even more.
