When tita Cory, tito Fidel and manong JPE led the way to People Power 22 years ago, they didn’t just alter history. They changed the future on two grounds.
First, Democracy.
Sure, corruption in the Philippine Government never died. But at least now you can roam around town past 9 PM without the risk of being arrested.
Second, Fun.
Because the Edsa Revolution added an extra Holiday to the Philippine calendar. Tita Cory, Tito Fidel and Manong JPE might’ve never thought about this when they were sweating it out at EDSA way back in ‘86. But for a regular worker like me who’s gotten tired of politics and stuff, it’s one of the few things about EDSA I’d always appreciate 
And so… thank you very much Tita Cory, Tito Fidel and Manong JPE. I’ve never been their fan but thanks to them, I don’t have to go to work tomorrow. WHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
